  1. Yet another person simply “released” (rather than rescued) by the bearded bandit folk out of the goodness of their own hearts.

    Personally I think they did unspeakable abominations to her captivity fashion.

    I mean, did you guys see the outfit she was forced to wear while making that plea?

    Gosh, I know so many women who’d say “Whaaa? You want me to get on TV wearing THAT? What are you, crazy?”

    But I guess she had other concerns (like her life) at the moment.

    On her outfit: According to friends and colleagues I’ve heard interviewed, she (as well as other Western female journos) wore the attire of a conservative Iraqi woman on a regular basis when working – part of her effort to blend in (safety) and understand the mindset of the Iraqis (the hardliners, anyway).
