I think North Korea is up to no good with the arms sales, of course, and I'm highly sympathetic to Joshua's argument (though I could see an argument for Bush's and Obama's actions in this regard).

What I am afraid we'll see, however, is the loyal opposition in the US bashing Obama over the terrorist supporter label as if he — and not a president from their own party — is the one who took them off the list in the first place, and I think that kind of muddling of the facts for partisan bashing is counterproductive. Obama didn't write the license, but he did renew it.

(And I'm not suggesting in any way that Mr Stanton would do such a thing; Joshua is quite consistent and nonpartisan in his bashing of those he feels deserve it.)

It is difficult to understand why the President has decided not to list North Korea as a state sponsor of terrorism as the consensus grows that North Korea has recently and repeatedly done precisely this.

Really? Its not difficult when you see his Attorney General awarding Miranda Rights to Al Qaeda terrorists.

I think we have finally come to an understanding, Josh ;-)

BTW, great wrote up, love the style, passion, and lucidity.

Thank goodness that finally a homegrown north korean terrorist revolt against the regime may seriously be in the future for the dprk.
