I would strike the United States from that sentence. If the aim indeed was trying to liberalize North Korea through aid and engagement, then you Yanks were doing a pretty piss poor job at it. Both the US and the ROK was on the right track when it came to aid and engagement - they were just aiding and engaging the wrong people.</description>
