Can Anyone Out There Help Me Fix the Menu?

So barring some major technical problem, I hope I’m done messing with upgrades, themes, and plugins for a while, though I may set up another aggregator page and make some other organizational changes.

There is one persistent problem that I can’t fix, however — the menus. As you can see, those link buttons are like U.N. resolutions. I’ve tried disabling the plugins, switching menus, changing and changing back the permalink settings, but nothing fixes the problem. I have a terrible feeling that deep inside my wp-content file is something corrupted, but I don’t know what, and my host* doesn’t have a backup for the time period I need. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As an alternative, I’d be content to disable the menus and drop in a hyperlinked image map where the menu sits now. I can make the image map myself, but I’m not sure if they work with the new .php coding, or where I would put the code for them.

* I use Bluehost — have for years — and they’re wonderful. What other service can you purchase where you can actually get a human being on the line to provide live, helpful technical support anytime?

  1. They don’t know what the problem is. And frankly, if it’s an issue with the coding in some corrupted file, I wouldn’t expect them to.

I don’t know anything about WordPress but I can see the problem with your HTML. Your link tags don’t have href attributes. It looks like the URL’s are being specified in a title attributes by mistake.

  3. Happy to help out with any future website work, I’m a developer so shoot me an email if you get stuck.
