Remembering the Yonpyoeng Six

The father of a Korean sailor killed by North Korean gunboats in 2002 touches a bronze relief of his son's face. This story is too moving and too maddening to do justice in a post, so just read for yourself.

You will recall the words and actions of one of the widows, whose own government snubbed the memory of her husband and his five comrades. She announced her intention to leave Korea and go the United States, whose ambassador at least sent her a letter of condolence.

  1. What’s sad is that worthless prez NO and his crony prime ministers NEVER paid a visit to these brave souls who were ambushed in ROK water in midst of World Cup frenzy…

What’s sadder is that leftist NO and his cronies are preventing the rememberance by making it very hard for normal citizens pay respect by hiding the memorial inside naval base including the boat wreckage riddled with bullets. Such reminder of cowardice whould be displayed at War Museum in Yongsan!

My my why would any youngmen in ROK armed forces give up their lives to defend from commies now? What message is commie puppet NO sending? Greet DPRK forces with flowers?

DOWN WITH NO AND PIG URI COMMIE PUPPETS!

  2. What frustrates me even more is that the Korean governments ignoring of the West Sea battle has had an effect on the general publics memory of the incident. Many Koreans today know very little about the murders of these sailors, but ask them about the US Army tank accident and they can spout off all the untrue propaganda and false lies about the incident that they believe to be true.
