‘Truly Evil’

Not starving millions of your own people to build missiles for attacking cities in other nations, but the idea that one of those nations might try to protect its citizens from them. There’s only one way I can make that statement remotely comprehensible — by recalling that Roh won’t protect his own citizens.

Just as a reminder, we have 30,000 troops in Roh’s country, with a resulting defense cost savings of $60 billion a year. I wonder how much of that money paid for those missiles.

So does the U.S. Treasury Department. The financial angle is about to get more interesting.

  1. USFK should stick around until next prez election in Dec 2007. Should PIG Uri win again then get the hell out.

    As much as NO’s cronies complain about ever increasing $ USFK expect ROK to share, it’s hell of lot cheaper when you consider the hardwares USFK bring like Patriots (ROKA still operate Nike Hercules from 1950’s), MLRS and F16s/A10s.

    ROK armed forces and ROK Army in particular rely on USFK’s ELINT, anti-long range artillery (240mm MRL and 170mm Koksan SP guns) and F16s/A10s. It would cost billions for ROK to buy, train and place the void left over by USFK withdrawal.

    Case in point is ROK’s rather embarassing selection of unproven JOKE elint jets procured via ex-beauty queen turned nightclub owner (Tango in glory days in Ktown in LA) turned prostitute who slept with few ROK Defense Ministry old farts.

    Sadly is truly cowardly act by younger 386 leftist commies PIG Uri members who openly support midget Kim. Do they know that the freedom and prosperity they enjoy is due to precious blood of Amerinca GIs? These were sons of American who gave their life to bring freedom…

  3. There was a perfect quote from Roh in the early weeks after he won the election.

    It was just after NK sent about 5 fighters out into the Sea of Japan to harass a US spyplane like the one that collided with a Chinese fighter – also in international air space – as NK tried to copy that event in some manner.

    Roh said that using military provocation might be a good negociation strategy but he warned that it should not be taken to far.

    The warning was to the United States.

    NK used up precious jet fuel it strickly conserves to intercept a US military plane in int. space and – seemingly to the US pilot – try to force the US plane to follow the fighters to NK….

    …and Roh warns the US not to provoke NK too much.

    But that wasn’t even the interesting part.

    He went on to say —- the US should heed the warning —-

    because if war broke out, American lives would not be at stake but those of Koreans would.

    It was a jaw dropper.

    And I gave him some space to get his feet under him

    but he has been consistent and has placed a lot of people around him who consistently have thoughts and expressions in this same ball park.

  4. Japan is paranoid about NK missiles, and the Koreans are paranoid about a pre-emptive attack by Japan. Each country has a different perspective, and is looking out for its own interest.

    What is ‘truly evil’ is the NK government, but SK officials can’t say that in public because it will hurt inter-Korea relations.
