The Death of an Alliance, Part 53
The end of the Eighth U.S. Army in Korea comes as no surprise to me; the rumors are not new, and this is easy to downplay as “restructuring.” With less than one complete U.S. infantry division left in Korea, it’s hard to call it EUSA a true Army-level command, but the symbolic value of its removal would be very significant. I suspect it will also mean that the USFK’s new commander will be a three-star.
I guess I’d better go out and buy the family back home a few more mink blankets…probably won’t get another chance.
Actually, I think that USFK would be gone as well. Given what’s been released in the press, it looks like the US is headed for the standing JTF HQ structure used in other areas of the world.
It’s no death it’s FREEDOM!
Finally getting out of a country where its young people have no respect for their Government or the Troops, who gave them their way of life as they know it today. Koreans have become the most Greedy People on the planet. And sticking it to Uncle Sam every chance they get. The newest indeavor to get FREE money is the 164 Billion U.S.Dollar, bill they are shoving down our throats. This is what they say it will cost them to ReClaim all the former Installations, used by American Forces, in Korea? Hell with that amout of money I could build them a new country!
When will Americans learn? That every country except for France, has stuck it to us after so many died to save their sorry asses. And Korea is a prime example of young adults uneducated in History, spit and shit on the very existance of having Americans in thier land. Their land? It should be ours after all we liberated it and its people from the Communist NOrth. Oh, and by the way for all the ignorant college eduacated young folks in Korea. When the Americans do finally leave. And the North Koreans take over and deny you of all human rights. Which they will! DON’T COME CRYING TO AMERICANS TO COME BADK AND SAVE YOUR ASSES AGAIN.
