Kim Jong Il Saved by a Fortune Teller?
The idea had crossed my mind, since there don’t seem to be rational explanations for so many of the things he’s been doing lately. Via the Daily NK:
Explosives targeting Kim Jong Il were found set up at the Yongcheon explosion. They were small explosives that cannot be made with North Korean technology, leading people to believe that they came from outside the country, and causing Kim Jong Il to become concerned over his safety.
At the time of the Yongcheon explosion, a shaman who was a special secretary at the department of the Central Party told Kim Jong Il to leave the event, which saved his life. When this woman, who speaks with Seoul accent, tells him not to go certain places, he never disobeys her. (Shamanistic practices within the government were removed by policy long ago. However, Kim Jong Il manages a few number of shamans to “protect natural monuments”-editor)
There are many who aspire to be Ahn Joong Geun (a Korean independence activist during the Japanese Rule), but approaching Kim Jong Il is impossible. The change in North Korea must come from the bottom. The people in support of Kim Jong Il must be challenged.
I don’t suppose it’s necessary to warn why you should read this with caution, but it’s plausible. There’s some evidence of senior Nazi officials, to include Hitler himself, relying on the occult to make important decisions. And of course many will remember reports that Nancy Reagan made somewhat less earth-shaking decisions after consulting an astrologer.
Speaking of reading with caution: I would never advise any serious thinker to base national policy on what a man as certifiably insane as “unofficial” DPRK spokesman Myong-Chol says. In this case, he explains North Korea’s failed nuke test as an attempt to build a hydrogen bomb trigger. Read the rest on your own, but it doesn’t do much to change my thinking. The regime itself must go.
Treating Kim Myong-chul as an “expert” is a bit out there for the Weekly Standard. He claims NK has an almost Soviet Union-level arsenal on ICMBs and nuclear weapons.
