North Korea Seeks Those Who Aided Abductee’s Escape
It’s been a bad week for North Korea’s P.R. machine, with the embarassments of abducted South Korean fisherman Choi Uk-Il’s escape and the repatriation of nine family members of South Korean POW’s (one of whom is already dead). Both incidents — and the small matter of North Korea’s latest threat to nuke Seoul — proved embarassing to North Korea’s friends in South Korea, who have problems enough already.
But good neighbors take care of their friends, so North Korea is now offering a substantial reward (Korean link) for anyone who turns in those who helped Choi escape: a cush job with the “êµê°€ë³´ìœ„부,” which roughly translates to Homeland Security Domestic Security agency. How nice. The job comes with all the rice you can eat and all the half-Chinese babies you can kill for the rest of your life … plus, enough gin to drown your conscience in an alcoholic stupor.
South Korea’s government responded by publicly denouncing North Korea’s abduction and mistreatment of its citizens and threatening to suspend the cash payments that make up nearly half of the North Korean government’s income unless North Korea credibly accounts for hundreds of South Korean POW’s and abductees within 90 days.
No, not really. I made that last part up.

This is off-topic.
I put the Korean text into ‘Google Translate’ … and what came out the other end wasn’t pretty.
Google advises that translator is a ‘Beta’ version. Is there any insight as to how their testing is progressing?
If you click one of the links in my top center column and click far enough, you get their explanation of that. Really, that translator is for amusement purposes only.
