North Korea: You’re Terrorists, Too!
The Daily NK reports that the United States isn’t going to remove North Korea from this year’s list of state sponsors of terrorism. Personally, I’ve been burned pretty much every time I believed what the State Department said directly, much less indirectly, so I’m agnostic on this one. In related news, North Korea has listed the United States as a state sponsor of terrorism:
North Korea Tuesday called the U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq typical examples of “state-sponsored terrorism” and called for extra efforts from the United Nations to combat terrorism.
“The U.S. invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq and the Israeli occupation of Arab territories have caused a vicious cycle of terrorism and horrible bloodshed as they are typical state-sponsored terrorism,” the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said, citing an unnamed North Korean delegate’s comments to a U.N.-sponsored anti-terrorism meeting last month. Being listed as one of North Korea’s designated state sponsors of terrorism, of course, means our citizens can’t buy duty-free crank on Air Koryo flights.
