Two new reports from the Daily NK, here and here, provide the first evidence that the North Korean regime may be preparing its subjects for one of Kim Jong Il’s brood to inherit the throne.

The Rodong Shinmun additionally waxed, “We do not know of such zealous and revolutionary patriots as the heroes of Mankyungdae, who have walked solidly the path of history for three generations for the future of a country and a nation. The tradition of the three-generations of Mankyungdae heroes penetrates blood and reaches into our future, which is wed to the prosperous military-first revolution.” [Daily NK]

The Daily NK had previously questioned Yonhap’s report that the new figurehead would be Kim Jong Un. You can clearly see the Daily NK hedging its views with these new reports.
