Someone Will Face a Firing Squad for This
Some of Hwang Jang Yop‘s family members have escaped from North Korea:
Three relatives of Hwang Jang-yop, a former North Korean Workers’ Party secretary who defected to South Korea over a decade ago, fled the North last month and are now in a third country en route to the South, sources said Tuesday.
The defectors are members of Hwang’s extended family, one of the sources who is also a North Korean defector and frequently communicates with defectors abroad, said on condition of anonymity. [Yonhap]
I wonder if they were in one of the camps, and what they could tell us about it.
At this point in time, looking at the NK situation as a whole, if I were the South Korean government, I’d keep these people and Hwang under close watch. I’m not saying shut them up or anything, but I’d protect them like the president. — I can easily picture Pyongyang deciding that a really good provocative move to make in the face of world right now is assassinating one or more of them. And they have killed a defector before within the last ten years or so…
It’ll be interesting to see what they have to say… and what the ROK gov will let us know of what they say. Given current circumstances, we may get a lot of info, relative to the last regime.
usinkorea, I think the ROK government has long been giving extra care and attention to Hwang. That extra care has also been used to control his message, apparently.

What I feel now is most of the countries try to increase their military power. Not only North Korea but also India (baying AWACAS planes), Pakistan, Israel, China ( they also going to increase the power of their navy), Iran, etc. So are they ready for the another world war?
