Revelant Organ Identifies American in N. Korean Custody
His name is Aijalon Mahli Gomes, he’s a 30 year old from Boston, and he’s going to be tried for illegal entry.
Is that any way to treat your friends?

as an american citizen, don’t we have the right to leave the US and go to another country? let him stay and/or not come back to the US as Aijalon wishes.
obviously they haven’t broken him as easily as Robert Park.
i guess you can’t break anyone that agrees with you.
it’s interesting to see how desperate the Norks are trying to get any concession right now….anything….any international cash:
– selling off the rajin port
– demanding the hyundai project be continued
– wanting the US to look for POW’s
– sending cheap labor to South Africa to build the World Cup stadiums
i remember back in 2004ish they sold some gold. i wonder why they haven’t done that again yet.
Over at ROK Drop, some are claiming to know him, describing him as a religious man who knew Robert Park.
Take unconfirmed reports like that with a grain of salt, but if any of it’s true, I wonder (as I wrote here) if him going to the North and asking to work for the DPRK army was a ruse on his part.
GI Korea, can you do me a favor?
“If I had to guess I would say this guy probably may be pulling a Robert Park because his first name Aijalon is a religious name and his middle name of Mahli is another religious name.”
I can tell you that my Korean and Chinese written name means “the best of the future….jewel of your eye……the best of everything…” type crap.
Can you remind my wife for me?
Why can people who want to bring spiritual peace to the world not join Mount Athos? There’s even a monastery in a garage on an Orcadian island not far from me, and no Viking attacks predicted.
If they must do it in public, set fire to themselves like those American Quakers did during Vietnam.
If I were to go to St Petersburg, I’d expect pickpockets. In Delhi, I’d take water purification tablets. Hiking in Peru, I’d make sure my travel insurance was in order. To expect to be able to swan into a conflict zone simply by dint of being a “peace activist” suggests just how little the protagonist cares for those on both sides.
From Kushibo’s link, it appears that the Aijalon bit refers to the valley where the moon stood still, allowing Joshua to sack the city of Ai with tremendous loss of life (Joshua 10:12/4). Afterwards he erected a memorial to the Decalogue, including presumably the Sixth Commandment (at least, in my Bible) which is thought to prohibit killing.
This event is cited to emphasize that the prohibition was against *murder* and to maintain peace in one’s own tribal group.
Not sure why I thought this is relevant.
Wonder if this fool gets to see NK’s female pleasure squad, though probably more likely, he’s gonna meet NK’s male squad with leather boots.
It must be painful for his family to witness their son doing something like this, but on the other hand, when will these people learn ? Has the Nintendo-Bible generation become so stupid that all of a sudden walking into NK has become fashionable.
And if these morons are so keen on seeing NK, why don’t they spend a grand, join Cao’s Travel Club and see for themselves the shithole NK actually is.
