Robert Park Op-Ed in the Washington Post
Despite my rather complex views of Mr. Park, one can say that keeping these issues in the public eye means something good coming of his ill-advised actions. At least now, people should disregard that televised “confession” of his. Speaking of North Korea and hostage negotiations, don’t miss Claudia Rosett’s revelations about what the North Koreans really think of Jimmy Carter.
Oh, and a Japanese newspaper is reporting that the North Koreans have arrested two Japanese on drug charges.
Seriously. What part of “stay the hell out of North Korea” can’t people understand?
The part where North Korea is the only nation left on Earth that is shrouded litrerally by an Iron curtain. It is time that Buddhists infiltrate North Korea along with the Christians. It is time that China allows more Buddhists in, If the two religions of the Great Siddartha and Great Christ can bring down the evil Marxist Juche that is , then all will not be lost for the spirits of the North Korean people. A human being who is forced by state doctrine to believe that they have no soul is more wretched than those which states enforced that they do brlieve.
The Soviet Union fell for a reason, it is time that the DPRK did also.
When you force your people to be Atheist, then you are worse than the Religions which got you there. The same which you teach children to forgetl.
So Claudia Rosett read ‘Somewhere Inside’ and suffered no ill effects. I hope more K netizens will try it.
Glans, the ill effects of the traipsers is not within the books they write to justify their foolish acts, but the foolish acts themselves (and the attempts to fish them out). Opposition to their books stems from a desire not to reward the foolishness.
Anyway, bigger fish to fry now: my interpretation of the KCNA’s own news story on their threat to attack the leaflet-launching positions makes me very concerned they really will attack, Ã la YÅnpyÅng-do.”
Unlike Laura Ling and Euna Lee, Robert Park hasn’t profited financially from being detained in North Korea.
