Steve, It looks more like a Peruvian flag to me. I could possibly believe this was taken in 1955, but not 1965 with so little traffic. For one thing, if it was 1965, we should see the stone base of Kwanghwamun in the background. Park Chung Hee rebuilt it there in 1963.
Great find. It is always interesting to see old pictures of Korea, especially color pictures.
Looks like a pretty rough time doesn’t it? I noticed the kids still figured out how to play games.
Those were very cool.
It’s interesting how much the modern buildings of the late 1940s looked so much like their counterparts in the 1980s.
